Shocking footage shows teenage girl arrested and pepper-sprayed by US police
US police in Hagerstown, Maryland, have released bodycam footage showing the brutal arrest of a 15-year-old girl. Police were called after the girls bike collided with a car. She refused medical treatment as she insisted she did not need it, and attempted to cycle away, at which point she was forced off her bike and detained for non-cooperation. She was then pepper sprayed for refusing to get into the police car. Hagerstown Police Chief Victor Bruno said the force decided to release the footage to prove that the girl was not slammed against the wall, as her lawyer had alleged. He said she was charged assault, disorderly conduct, a traffic violation and marijuana possession.
