After facing flack for a tweet on External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, columnist Shobhaa De was trolled again on Twitter on Tuesday for sharing a meme regarding Major Nitin Leetul Gogoi. The Indian Army officer had triggered controversy for using a man as 'human shield' in Jammu and Kashmir.
On Tuesday, Shobhaa shared a meme that shows a Pakistani tank carrying a cow, tied in front of it as a shield, to stop Indian Army from attack it. The cartoon also had two Pakistani Army officers being happy about the idea.
Clearly, Shobhaa was mocking the idea of Major Gogoi for using a human shield to avoid being attacked from stone-pelters in Jammu and Kashmir. However, Twitterati did not find it funny and vehemently trolled Shobhaa.
Social media users also termed Shobhaa as anti-national and said that Indian Army should use her as a shield to stop Pakistan Army from attacking. Her post received a series of tweets, criticising her for mocking the Indian Army.

Earlier, she had tweeted, "Major Gogoi, a national hero? Really? Take a straw poll across India to find out the truth, if you have the courage."
Of late, cow slaughter has become a serious issue across India. While the beef ban has been a constant topic of debate, incidents of cow vigilantes attacking beef sellers have made the issue more serious.
Nonetheless, this is not the first time that Shobhaa has been trolled for her controversial Twitter posts. Some time back, she had triggered a controversy when she tweeted, "I just ate beef. Come and murder me." This tweet from the author had left many fuming, and a complaint was also filed for allegedly hurting religious sentiments.
