Kareena Kapoor is enjoying her time-off with husband Saif Ali Khan, but the actress has quite a lot waiting on her plate.
According to DNA, the leading lady in question has had the chance to look at three scripts so far, and has taken fancy to Ajay Devgn's "Baadshaho".
Kareena had an at-length discussion and meeting with director Milan Luthria before she left for her little break to Pataudi with Saif . Also, since the story has undergone some crucial changes, Devgn has expressed an interest in Kareena for the lead.
One of the interesting trivia happens to be Shruti Haasan and Lisa Haydon's brief association with the film. They were once being considered for the role that now has Kareena's name written on it.
"Kareena has taken many scripts with her to read and she will finalise films for this year. But the three scripts that she's focusing on are the remake of Sadma (produced by Boney Kapoor), a biopic on eminent Gandhian, a freedom fighter, and social activist Rajkumari Amrit Kaur. And the third is Milan Luthria's Baadshaho, which stars Ajay Devgn," an insider told the leading daily.
Loosely based on the 1975 emergency, the film will be big on emotions and drama. Slated for a 26 January, 2017 release, it may clash with Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt's untitled next.
"This is an EXPLOSIVE idea, based loosely on true events that transpired during the Emergency. The action and music are rustic and set in Rajasthan," Catch News quoted Luthria's official statement.
In other news, Devgn is currently busy with "Shivaay". He is all set to sing for the film's title track as well. "Since the film's inspiration is Lord Shiva, the song needed to emanate power, charisma and a certain intensity. I couldn't think of anyone but Ajay to sing it," singer-composer Mithoon told Mumbai Mirror.
