Bollywood movie Shivaay, which is set for release on October 28, has been passed by the censor board with a U/A certificate - parental guidance for children below the age of 12 years. Happy with the certification, Ajay Devgn took to Twitter to thank Central Board of Film Certification chief Pahlaj Nihalani for his cooperation.
The makers of Shivaay had organised a special screening of the movie for censor board officials. On Sunday, Ajay Devgn even took to his Twitter handle to clear the air. The Bollywood actor tweeted: "Just for your information guys, censor is yet to see Shivaay. I will update as soon as the censor is done."
Shivaay completed the formalities of the censor board and received the U/A certificate on Monday. Soon after its censorship, Ajay Devgn took to his Twitter handle to thank Pahlaj Nihalani. He tweeted: "Shivaay has been certified U/A. CBFC was highly cordial & co-operative. Many thanks to @NihalaniPahlaj ji."
Pahlaj Nihalani has faced lot of criticism for his censorship of Udta Punjab and Great Grand Masti and their alleged leak online ahead of the release. Since then, many celebs from the film industry were up against him. For the first time, a Bollywood celebrity has praised and thanked Pahlaj Nihalani on a social media.
Ajay Devgn's comment has come as a surprise for many.
Shivaay is an action thriller film, which has been written, directed and produced by Ajay Devgn under his banner Ajay Devgn FFilms. Ajay Devgn has also played the lead role in the film, while Sayyeshaa Saigal and Erika Kaar appeared in the female leads. Mithoon has composed the film's score and soundtrack.
Ajay Devgn, who has handled multiple responsibilities in the film, is leaving no stone unturned to make Shivaay the biggest hit of his career. However, the film will clash with Ae Dil Hai Mushkil at the box office on the Diwali weekend.
