Ajay Devgn's Shivaay (Shivay) has finally crossed Rs 100 crore at the Indian box office. The film's collection crossed the prestigious mark by the end of its 32nd day at the box office.
Shivaay had been struggling to cross the Rs 100 crore mark at the domestic market since the last few days. The film had collected Rs 98.15 crore nett at the domestic market by the end of 21 days, but since then its collection slowed down to a great extent.
Now, Shivaay's total 32-day box office collection stands at Rs 100.05 crore nett at the Indian box office. Directed by Ajay himself, Shivaay had a tough box office fight with Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Karan Johar's romantic drama had crossed the Rs 100 crore mark much before Shivaay.
Shivaay has become Ajay's sixth 100 crore grosser and the fifth highest earning movie of the actor till date. With the current trend and pace at the box office, total collection of Shivaay is not likely to cross the lifetime earning of Son of Sardaar that had collected Rs 102 crore nett at Indian box office. However, the film may add some more moolah for the producers as it is still running in limited theatres.
Shivaay had opened with a lesser collection than Ae Dil Hai Mushkil but it had picked up well since its 4th day. The Ajay-starrer kept the momentum at par with Ae Dil Hai Mushkil since then but remained behind the latter by around Rs 12 crore at the domestic market.
While the total nett collection of Shivaay now stands at Rs 100.05 crore, the film's gross earning is Rs 138.96 crore. After collecting Rs 98.15 crore by the end of its 21st day, collection of Shivaay slowed down. The film could collect just Rs 1.9 crore in the last 11 days.
