Shilpa Shinde, who made headlines when she got embroiled in a battle with the producer of her show Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai! earlier this year, has been approached for The Kapil Sharma Show yet again.
It was reported that Shilpa had decided to quit Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai! to be a part of the popular comedy show. However, back then, with Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai! producer Benaifer Kohli taking legal action against the actress, she was not able to take up any show. Also, the makers of The Kapil Sharma Show had decided not to shoot with Shilpa at the crucial time.
However, it seems that things have changed for Shilpa as the makers of The Kapil Sharma Show are now keen on bringing her on board for a key role.
Confirming the news, Shilpa told India Forums: "Yes, I have been approached, but things are not finalised yet. People think that I am not getting work because I have been banned, but it is not like that. I have been working continuously, also I have been offered shows like Bigg Boss and Jhalak Dikhhlaa Jaa. I have always done good work and I will continue to do so."
The tiff between Shilpa, who played the role of Angoori Bhabhi on Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai!, and the show's producer Kohli started after the former stopped shooting for the show, accusing the producer of mental torture. Things turned nasty when the actress didn't return to the sets, even after being directed by the Cine & TV Artistes' Association (CINTAA) to resume shoot.
It was also said that CINTAA had imposed a ban for lifetime on Shilpa by prohibiting broadcasters and producers from working with her until she apologised to the association and compensated Kohli for the losses incurred because of her. This created a hurdle in Shilpa's acting career and forced her to seek political intervention in the matter.
