Motorola has been teasing on social media that Moto X Force will be released in India soon. Now, the company has finally revealed the actual launch day.
Motorola has confirmed to host an event in Gurgaon on 1 February to reveal Moto X Force's price and availability details.
For the uninitiated, Moto X Force is an international variant of Motorola's Droid Turbo 2, which was unveiled in October last year. It is sold exclusively by Verizon Wireless in the US.
Rumour has it that Moto X Force will be priced between Rs. 40,000 and Rs.50,000 and it will go on sale in India exclusively via Flipkart.
The main talking point of Moto X Force is its super-strong screen. It has trumped many drop tests conducted by numerous tech critics. Among them, prominent technology blog UnlockRiver.com has given the Motorola phone a top score of 9.8 out of 10 ratings. They conducted an insane 275 meters drone drop tests and despite the huge fall on the concrete surface, Moto X Force suffered a minor scratch at the top right corner, while the rest of phone's screen remained intact and the phone was fully operational. Moto X Force's amazing display strength is attributed to the company's proprietary Moto ShatterShield display technology. They have incorporated five layers -- Aluminium chassis to form the rigid core, flexible AMOLED screen, and two layered touchscreen panels, interior lens to provide clear visibility of contents and exterior lens to provide additional protection, so that the phone's display is capable of absorbing shock from the impact and is guaranteed not to shatter, says the company.
At the back (of base model), it boasts ballistic nylon (metalised glass fiber) that offers a distinctive design while providing ultimate durability. And also, underneath this coating, Moto X Force features Kevlar, a material known to be five times stronger than steel.
Inside, it comes packed with powerful Snapdragon 810 series Octa-core in addition to the company's proprietary Mobile computing system comprising natural language processor, contextual computing processor, 550 MHz Adreno 430 graphics engine backed by 3GB RAM and 32GB/64GB inbuilt memory.
It also houses a high capacity 3760 mAh battery that gives close to 48 hours of talk time. The phone also features Turbo Power technology, wherein the phone can get 13 hours of power for just 15 minutes of charging.
