Sunanda Pushkar, wife of union minister Shashi Tharoor, has been found dead in Leela Hotel, New Delhi.
Reports claim her body was found in room no 345 of the Leela Kempinski on Africa Avenue around 8pm on Friday, two days after a marriage spat. Suicide suspected.
Some reports suggest that Tharoor himself informed the police of Sunanda's death, with sources claiming the suspect died of poisoning. It is understood that a suicide note has not been found yet.
Two days ago, Sunanda had stated she was disturbed by an alleged affair between Tharoor and a Pakistani journalist.
However, the couple had issued a joint statement on Thursday, saying they are happily married and do intend to remain that away.
Tharoor and Sunanda were married in 2010.
