Veteran actor-director Bhagyaraj's son Shanthnu has clarified the reports about his wedding with Keerthi, the anchor on reality dance show "Maanada Mayilada".
On Wednesday, a section of the media had reported that Shanthnu was getting married to Keerthi, his childhood friend. But the "Ammavin Kaipesi" actor has refuted those reports and cleared the air on Twitter.
"im clearing the air that the news of wedding bells is false. Only once the parents get to talk, we will get to talk&only then will we decide. Both our parents are yet to talk to each other...this is what my dad and her dad told the press," Shanthnu tweeted.
The actor revealed that Keerthi is his best friend, but there are no wedding plans now. "So nothing as of now&clearly marriage aint on my cards anytime soon. Will def let everybody know if anything of that sort takes place :)" he said.
The actor also stated, "Request the press or anyone to not exaggerate the matter any further.. thank you:)"
After the critically-acclaimed "Ammavin Kaipesi", Shanthnu is busy with multiple projects including "Vaaimai", "Amali Thumali" and a Telugu film "Love in Hyderabad", which is in post-production stage. His parents - Bhagyaraj and Poornima, were once popular actors of south cinema. Bhagyaraj has not just appeared in lead roles, but has also directed many commercially successful films.
Poornima, who was a mainstream actress of the 80s, is making her comeback in a supporting role in the upcoming Tamil film "Jilla", starring Vijay and Kajal Aggarwal. She is paired opposite Mohanlal, who is also doing a pivotal role in "Jilla." The veteran actress will also appear in her son's film "Vaimai"and in director Suseenthiran's flick "Aadhalal Kadhal Seiveer."
