While much has been said about how director Shankar might be teaming up with superstar Rajinikanth for his next movie, it now appears that he has some other plans.
Shankar is all set to join hands with Aamir Khan and the duo has reportedly been in touch for a while. It is also being said that they have finalised a story for the film, the script of which will be penned by Honey Irani.
Dispelling rumours that the new film would be a sequel to Rajinikanth's blockbuster "Enthiran – The Robot" sources close to the development explained that the director has some fresh ideas for the Aamir Khan starrer. Even writer Honey Irani recently confirmed that it is not a sequel to "Enthiran".
Rumour has it that Shankar will make a multilingual mega-budget movie. Very little is known about the project as of now and more details are likely to be disclosed once the director wraps up his forthcoming film "I".
"I" starring Vikram and Amy Jackson is currently in the post-production stage and seems to be consuming more time than expected. Hence, the movie, which was planned for November release, is likely to be postponed to February 2015.
Meanwhile, Aamir Khan is busy with his forthcoming movie "PK" directed by Raju Hirani. He is also likely to do Karan Johar's movie, which features Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as female lead.
