Shane Nigam and Shruthy Menon's Malayalam movie "Kismath" is set to hit the screens in Kerala on Friday, July 29, locking horns with megastar Mammootty and Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi's romantic entertainer, "White," directed by Uday Ananthan.
What makes the movie "Kismath" special?
The songs, especially "Kisa Pathiyil" sung by Sachin Balu with backing vocals by Suchith Suresan and Sushin Shyam, have already impressed the audience. The music album has received coveted recognition after being featured on one of India's leading music streaming and downloading services, Gaana.com's official Facebook page, which has over two million followers. This has now become a milestone for "Kismath" as a Malayalam album is getting such a recognition for the first time, enabling non-Keralites also to enjoy the Malayalam songs.
Composed by Sumesh Parameswar, Shamej Sreedhar and Sushin Shyam, "Kismath" has seven tracks for which Mahakavi Moinkutty Vaidyar, Anwar Ali and Rafeeq Ahammed have penned the lyrics.

"Kismath" - All you need to know
"Kismath" narrates the real life story of a Muslim boy and a Dalit woman that took place in 2011 in Ponnani, Malappuram. Comedian Abi's son Shane makes his acting debut in the lead role as 23-year-old Irfan, who falls in love with 28-year-old Anitha, played by Shruthy. The film also stars Vinay Forrt, P. Balachandran, Sajitha Madathil, Jayaprakash Kuloor, Binoy Nambala, Alencier Ley, Anil Nair, Sreekanth Menon Sunil Sukhada, Surabhi Lakshmi and Vijayan Karanthoor.
Suresh Rajan has handled the cinematography of "Kismath" and Sushin Shyam has set the background score of the film, which is being produced under the banner of Pattam Cinema Company in association with Collective Phase One. The film is 1 hour 45 minutes duration and will be released in 41 screens in Kerala by director Lal Jose's LJ Films Pvt. Ltd.
