Bollywood starlet Parineeti Chopra is in demand especially after she received a Special Jury Mention at the 60th National Awards for her performance in "Ishaqzade"
According to reports, actor Shahrukh Khan is taking a keen interest in Parineeti and has been asking about her, prompting speculations that he might cast her in his future projects.
"SRK is currently shooting in Wai and has been all praises for Parineeti. He has been asking about the kind of projects she has on hand right now. He was also heard discussing about her recent achievements. He seems to be taking a keen interest in her," Mid-Day quoted a source as saying.
"After she won the National Award, it is possible that SRK might want to do a film with her. Only that could explain his sudden interest in her," another source told the daily.
The 24-year-old actress, who is Priyanka Chopra's cousin, is just two films old. But she has impressed everyone with her role of a daredevil and short-tempered girl in "Ishaqzade".
"I never thought I would win for Ishaqzaade but when I did, it was the biggest one in the country!! That too for my first lead role! I just cannot believe it," Parineeti told Press Trust of India.
"But this scares and humbles me, and will definitely make me work even harder in the future!! Thank you jury."
Parineeti has been flooded with wishes from people in Hindi film industry ever since she was honoured at the National Films Awards. And the latest B-town personality whose gesture has touched Parineeta is megastar Amitabh Bachchan. Big B had sent a huge bouquet of flowers with note that he himself had written.
"The message has moved her and she is touched by the veteran actor's humility. She feels that it is gestures like this that make Amitabh Bachchan the Amitabh Bachchan. It is gesture that she will cherish forever," a source said.
