Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor revealed that he will not be doing the Hindi remake of SS Rajamouli's period drama "Magadheera." The actor was roped in to play Ram Charan's character, but Shahid has opted out of the ambitious project.

"I am not doing that film (Magadheera) anymore. Right now, after Rangoon, I am unemployed," Shahid told DNA. It seems the handsome hunk is planning to take a break to welcome his first child with Mira Rajput this year. In fact, "AK Vs SK," which was supposed to be made with Shahid and Anurag Kashyap, will not be made anymore.

Shahid will next be seen in two films, "Udta Punjab" and "Rangoon." "Udta Punjab" has already created a hype with the controversy its makers got embroiled in with the censor board. The film stars Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh as well. And in "Rangoon," Shahid will share screen space with Kangana Ranaut and Saif Ali Khan.

However, the fans will be disappointed to learn that after these two films, Shahid will not appear on the silver screen for a while as he has not signed any film. Now, the question is if the "Shaandaar" actor is not featuring in the Hindi remake of "Magadheera," then who will?

Ranbir Kapoor

Ranbir Kapoor was earlier said to have been approached for this film, but the actor had reportedly refused due to date issues. But, now when Shahid has opted out of the project and Ranbir will soon finish the shooting of his upcoming projects, he might as well play the lead role in "Magadheera" remake.

Ranveer Singh

Ranveer Singh has already shown his talent of playing a warrior in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Bajirao Mastani." Fans would love to see him in the similar appearance once again.

Hrithik Roshan

Hrithik is again one of the actors in Bollywood who is thought to be perfect for a period drama. He has won hearts with his performance in "Jodha Akbar" and he will again appear in a period drama, "Mohenjo Daro," this year.

Tiger Shroff

"Magadheera" is an action film and in Bollywood, Tiger Shroff has proved himself as one of the best action heroes. The "Baaghi" actor is definitely fit for the role.

Vidyut Jamwal

Vidyut Jamwal has also impressed the audience with his action-packed performances. His tough body and good looks make him a perfect choice for Ram Charan's character.

Sidharth Malhotra

Sidharth Malhotra will look amazing in the royal look. The actor has never done a period drama and his appearance will suit the role.
