A lot is being written and said about Alia Bhatt's bikini shot in the "Shaandaar" trailer. The 22-year-old may look effortless in the scene, but she had to endure temperatures as low as minus 2.0 degrees Celsius for it.
Co-star Shahid Kapoor batted for Alia saying he understood how uncomfortable it must have been for her as they were shooting in chilling weather.
"I know how uncomfortable Alia was wearing a bikini. It was freezing cold. In fact, when I was wearing a ganji and walking bare feet, I was shivering. So I can imagine what Alia was going through. And the beach at which we were shooting was no less than any other beach in Mumbai. Alia could hardly pull down her dangri!," Miss Malini quoted the young actor as saying.
However, the much-talked about bikini body didn't come easy for the leading lady. Talking about the rigorous workout routine to The Indian Express, Alia revealed how she used to tag along to the gym with Shahid where they would exercise together.
"Also, my bikini shot was not supposed to be an elaborate one. It was initially just supposed to be me in the bikini. But since I worked so hard, Vikas(Bahl) said, 'Shot le lete hai accha wala.' I am happy that you liked it," she further elaborated.
In other news, Shahid and Alia's "Gulaabo" song video from "Shaandaar" is out and has already gone viral garnering over 3,000,000 hits on YouTube in less than three days.
Karan Johar, who is co-producing the film, took to Twitter to express his happiness over the new feat.
