Shahid Kapoor-Mira Rajput Reception: Why Did Salman Khan, Karan Johar and Sonakshi Sinha Give it a Miss? [INSIDE PHOTOS]

Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput's wedding was sealed with a lavish reception in Mumbai's posh hotel on 12 July, Sunday.

In attendance were some of the big names of the industry. Amitabh Bachchan, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Shraddha Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Dia Mirza, and Preity Zinta among others stepped in to convey their best wishes to the newlyweds.

However, Karan Johar, who shares the judges' panel on "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8" with the "Haider" actor, possibly gave the event a miss despite being in the city.

Malaika Arora Khan shared a photo from a house party held last night, in which the filmmaker is seen hanging out with his close friends. So, did he make a late backdoor entry at the party, while cleverly dodging the media or did he skip it?

While the reasons are best known to him, Sonakshi Sinha too reportedly didn't attend the reception. A few days ahead of the Shahid-Mira's wedding, she said she would be part of her co-star's big day if invited.

"If Shahid invites me for his wedding to Greece, I'll surely go. Who wouldn't want to?," Bollywood Life quoted her as saying.

Salman Khan's absence was another surprise. He too was confident about being invited to the actor's wedding, but looks like it didn't happen or the "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" star may have been busy promoting his upcoming film and so had to let go of the reception.

However, since there's no official confirmation on who attended the glitzy event and who skipped, this can, at best, be taken as a speculation.
