Ex-lovers Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra have maintained a 'safe' distance ever since their breakup.
But being in a film industry, which makes tens of thousands of films every year, it's difficult not to bump into each other on and off.
Recently, Chopra and Kapoor were both spotted at the "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa" studio to promote "Mary Kom" and "Haider" respectively. And what happened next was quite obvious.
"Sensing a 'casting' coup, one of the channel's programming executives came up with a brainwave: shoot a joint promo with the two stars. PeeCee laughed off the idea making it clear that she wasn't comfortable with such an arrangement," a Mumbai Mirror report suggests.
That's quite understandable as the couple had a bitter end to their relationship. Kapoor too, apparently wasn't interested in sharing the screen space with his ex-flame. "He didn't even step out to meet her, but locked himself in the van till she had left," revealed a source.
The odd behaviour of the former couple came across as weird because a few months ago, there were reports of Kapoor and Chopra coming together for Abhishek Chaubey's "Udta Punjab". After the royal ignore the two gave each other, their pair-up is immensely doubtful.
If rumours are to be believed, the "Kaminey" actor, at an award function rehearsal, verbally abused his ex-flame. Chopra, who arrived late for her turn, apparently took more time than what was given to her. An infuriated Kapoor yelled and hurled abuses at her, following which the actress left the stage silently.
The two, who were on Karan Johar's couch for "Season 3" of "Koffee With Karan" were seen gushing at one another's mention. But in the last season, Chopra bluntly denied having a romantic relationship with his "Teri Meri Kahaani" co-star.
