Shahid Kapoor's impending wedding has been on the radar for a while now, and with the star not confirming the name of his wife-to-be, things got a little more hyped up.
However, according to the actor's "Farzi" director Raj Nidimoru, Shahid is tying the knot this June.
"We were supposed to begin shooting in June and news of his wedding came as a pleasant surprise to us. It was out of the blue and though he was apologetic about it -- June was the core month for us to begin shooting -- he is getting married, so we will have to rework the schedule," DNA quoted the filmmaker as saying.
Earlier this year, it was reported the film would roll out by February end as the director duo – Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK – were on a break and so was Shahid, who had just wrapped up Vikas Bahl's "Shaandaar" with Alia Bhatt.
Interestingly, in his interview, Raj also clarified reports which claimed that he was reworking on the script since Shahid won't be able to give the project enough time.
"The question of reworking doesn't arise at all because I have just finalised my script. It's a crime drama and as of now, we are doing the film with the same star cast," he pointed out.
In other news, it's being said that Shahid and his rumoured fiancée Mira Rajput were introduced to each other by their respective parents who go to Radha Soami Satsang, a religious organisation.
"I'll refrain from getting into details. I hope you respect that. I'm here today and I thought it was important for me to acknowledge it in front of the media. Other than that I'm just a normal guy, she's just a normal girl and we should treat it like that. I'm very happy," the "Haider" star told NDTV last month.
Shahid is currently shooting for "Udta Punjab", which also features ex-girlfriend Kareena Kapoor Khan.
