Kareena Kapoor Khan recently hosted a success party for "Ki and Ka" and invited several Bollywood celebs like Kangana Ranaut, Sonam Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra. Saif Ali Khan had reportedly invited his "Rangoon" co-star Shahid Kapoor as well, but the actor didn't show up at the bash.
It has been reported that the "Haider" actor didn't attend the event due to the awkwardness between him and ex-girlfriend Kareena (Saif's wife), according to SpotboyE. The report suggests that Saif had personally texted Shahid to invite him at the bash, but the latter preferred to stay at home with his apparently-pregnant wife.
However, Shahid and Kareena will appear in Abhishek Chaubey's movie "Udta Punjab." Though the actors are in the film together, the duo will reportedly not share screen space. It seems Kareena and Shahid are still in the awkward zone and prefer not to face each other.
Interestingly, a few days ago, it had been reported that Kareena was one of the first people to know about Mira Rajput's rumoured pregnancy, Bollywood Life cited DNA. The report hints that Shahid told Saif on the sets of "Rangoon" and then the chhote nawab informed his wife about the same.
Shahid and Saif are set to appear in Vishal Bhardwaj's "Rangoon," which also features Kangana. In the flick, Saif plays the character of a filmmaker and Shahid will be seen as a soldier, while Kangana plays the character of a 1940s' actress named Julia. Set against the backdrop of World War II, "Rangoon" is a Casablanca-like love triangle.
Shahid and Saif have earlier worked with the film's director, Vishal. Shahid has done two films — "Kaminey" and "Haider" — while Saif has worked with Vishal in "Omkara."
