Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's song 'Gulaabo' from "Shaandaar" has gone viral online and has amassed over 2.6 million views within 24 hours of its release.
The song released on 10 September at 4:30 pm made history and received 2.6 million views in just 18 hours.
While Alia, dressed in a grey jacket and pants even dons a moustache, Shahid shows off some killer dance moves on this fun, upbeat song.
The track 'Gulaabo' also features Shahid's sister Sanah Kapoor and it was earlier reported that Sanah's presence in the film is this year's "Raksha Bandhan" gift from her brother Shahid.
On Thursday, Shahid and Alia launched the song with the film's director Vikas Bahl and the duo treated newspersons to a live performance that set the stage on fire.
Directed by Bahl and co-produced by Phantom Films, Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and Fox, the film has created a lot of curiosity ever since the release of its trailer.
In the film, both Alia and Shahid suffer from insomnia and fall in love in the middle of a larger-than-life wedding.
It is an out-and-out youthful love story focusing on two characters Alia and Jagjinder Joginder .
Alia's father Bipin (played by Pankaj Kapur) adds the twist to their romance as he believes there's no guy that will be good enough for his daughter while Alia is a dreamer.
Jagjinder Joginder is a doer and he feels he can make anything happen. And for obvious reasons Bipin hates Jagjinder Joginder.
This is the first time Shahid and Alia are teaming up for a film, and that has got fans all excited. "Shaandaar" is supposed to be India's first ever film on "destination wedding".
The film is slated for Dussehra release on 22 October.
