Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar are apparently battling with each other in the race to promote their films.
Akshay while promoting his film "Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaraa" (OUATIMD) during a reality dance show blasted out on the sets when a group performed to a popular track from Shah Rukh Khan's "Chennai Express" in the finale episode .
"Akshay who is leaving no stone in promoting his film OUATIM apparently lost his cool on -the-sets of a reality show and blasted everyone on the sets. During the finale episode of a TV dance reality show, a dance group performed on Chennai Express song which reportedly irked Khiladi Akshay Kumar," a source told The Times Of India.
The rivalry between Shah Rukh and Akshay is a known fact to everyone in in the film industry. During a match in the sixth season of Indian Premier League (IPL), Shah Rukh had reportedly asked television channels airing the match not to focus on Akshay, Sonakshi and Imran, who had showed up to promote "OUATIMD".
Akshay's "OUATIMD" had hit screens a week after Shah Rukh's "Chennai Express" which released on 9 August. Earlier, both films were slated to release on the same day, but "OUATIMD" producer Ekta Kapoor delayed the release by a week.
Shah Rukh-Deepika starrer crossed the ₹200 crore mark worldwide in just nine days after its relase, while "OUATIMD" a - sequel to Once Upon A Time In Mumbai", did not fare well comparatively on the opening day at the box office.
