Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in a special appearance in Gauri Shinde's "Dear Zindagi" alongside Alia Bhatt. The recent buzz is that the screen timing of Shah Rukh in the movie is just 30 minutes.
"Shah Rukh has a full-fledged role in the film. It definitely can't be called an extended cameo. He will be there on screen for a good 30 minutes," a source told DNA. Earlier, SRK had said that he had shot the movie for 49 days, however, he was not the lead actor but Alia is. "It's completely Alia's film and it revolves around the different relationships and changes in her character. SRK plays her life coach and his character will eventually bring about a change in her," the source added.
SRK had earlier opened up about his role in the flick. "I should think it's a proper role. The film is a little different from my Hindi films. Most of my scenes are with Alia so, I keep coming in. it's not a hero-heroine type of a film. It's a different slice-of-life kind of a film. It's a different film for me because it's not a typical 'lead lead' as such. I have slot for 49 days so, I must be having a good role," he had told IANS.
Alia and SRK will share screen space for the first time, but will not be romancing each other in the flick. This movie is said to be about a young girl (played by Alia), who meets three men and with every relationship her perspective about life changes.
Though the makers have not confirmed anything yet, it is said that the three men whom Alia's character will date will be played by Aditya Roy Kapur, Ali Zafar and Kunal Kapoor. However, till now, only Alia and Shah Rukh were spotted shooting for the film in Goa.
Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, Dharma Productions and Hope Productions, Gauri's upcoming film "Dear Zindagi" seems to be similar in theme to "English Vinglish," where the story revolved around one woman (played by Sridevi).
