Team "Raees" is working out dates for the release of the film. Contrary to what was being reported earlier, the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer will not clash with "Dishoom," which opens in theatres July 29.
"I don't think Shah Rukh will clash Raees with Dishoom. There is no Eid or Diwali that two big films will release on same day. You are asking me to comment on a hypothetical situation that if Raees is postponed and if it will release on 29 July, what would I do?," Sajid Nadiadwala asked Catch News.
This comes close on the heels of rumours that suggested that the makers of the Rahul Dholakia directorial are looking at releasing their film either on July 29 or Aug. 12. The second date is the one on which Akshay Kumar's "Rustom" and Hrithik Roshan's "Mohenjo Daro" is out. Given that they are big-ticket films (courtesy the star power), "Raees" will probably not lock horns with them.
Meanwhile, SRK hasn't been too keen on clashing with Salman Khan's "Sultan." "I think logic will be to shift (release dates of both 'Raees' and 'Sultan'). We will try and figure out a way so that it doesn't eat into each other's business. It is awkward... it's like what are we doing. I don't think we like to have it (box office clash)," he told the Press Trust of India.
In other news, SRK has wrapped up "Raees," which also stars Mahira Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub in key roles.
