Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt-starrer Dear Zindagi's climax scene originally had SRK but the makers of the movie removed his part in the final print.

Shah Rukh himself revealed that his part in the climax scene of the Gauri Shinde directorial was removed but he is happy about it.

"You can ask Gauri or Alia, too. Did I ask what my role is? Did I ever say the scene is not right? The climax scene in the film had me which they removed. I didn't feel bad. Instead, I felt they did the right thing because it was getting too long anyway. I have never questioned any film. I just want to participate, be an actor and just be happy about it," Shah Rukh told DNA in an interview.

The film primarily revolves around the character of Alia and it was earlier touted that SRK will just have an extended cameo in it. Although the superstar did not play the central character in Dear Zindagi, it was not a cameo and his performance has been receiving appreciation from the audience.

The Raees actor played the character of a psychiatrist in the film and is seen giving some important life lessons to Alia's character. Made on a much limited budget, Dear Zindagi has been performing well at the box office.

The movie had started making profits from its third day itself and it has now become a much successful film, both critically and commercially.
