Shah Rukh Khan will reportedly sign one of the biggest endorsement deals, if everything goes well. The actor is apparently in talks with a pan masala brand for an endorsement which would pay him whopping ₹20 crore.
Khan, who is called as 'brand SRK' by Forbes for his number of endorsements, has been approached by the pan masala brand to be the face of the company.
The ad will show story that is similar to SRK's real life story of reaching to stardom without any help from godfather.
"The commercial will show an ordinary man making it big on his own without having any connections or any godfather in the field. In keeping with this theme, the brand felt that SRK was a perfect fit," a source told Mid-Day.
Apparently, the "Chennai Express" actor was not the first choice for the endorsement. Brand officials wanted to rope in another superstar but since the actor's father is a big shot in the industry they decided to sign in SRK.
"They have now zeroed in on SRK, as he has achieved everything on his own steam. They have now made him an offer," the source added.
Khan has agreed to work with the brand and may soon sign on the dotted line.
"SRK is a big name and the company is ready to pay him ₹20 crore. They are very happy to know that he has shown interest in working with them and they now want to shoot a commercial with him. They want to air it on screen as soon as possible," source said.
If Khan signs on the dotted line, than he will join the league with late actors Ashok Kumar and Shammi Kapoor, Manoj Bajpai and Priyanka Chopra among others who endorsed the brand.
Earlier this year, Chopra was signed as the brand ambassador of another pan masala company.
"I'm delighted to have been chosen as the brand ambassador of Rajnigandha Silver Pearls. It's not only a delicious and refreshing product, but also a brand that promotes such positive messages, which is something the world really needs," Chopra told The Times of India.
