With "Raees" pushed to Jan. 26, 2017 and "Fan" released, there are no other films for Shah Rukh Khan this year. But there might just be good news for the superstar's fans.
According to a DNA report, the makers of Gauri Shinde's untitled next are planning on releasing their film this year. Now that Vishal Bhardwaj's "Rangoon" has been moved to Feb. 24, the team is eyeing Oct. 2. The choice of date makes sense because then the film will enjoy a good weekend (Oct. 2 being Gandhi Jayanti).
"The shooting of this as-yet untitled film has wrapped already. It's a joint production with SRK, Karan Johar and Gauri Shinde. They've decided to release the film on a date that lends enough of a gap between this film and Raees, so that the latter does not suffer," an insider further elaborated.
Ever since SRK began working on the film, there were reports that he would be seen in a cameo or tops an extended guest appearance. But the superstar rubbished those rumours saying he has a full-fledged role.
"I should think it's a proper role...The film is a little different from my other Hindi films. Most of my scenes are with Alia so, I keep coming in. It's not a hero-heroine type of a film. It's a different slice-of-life kind of a film. It's a different film for me because it's not a typical 'lead lead' as such. I have shot for 49 days so, I must be having a good role," he told IANS.
