Shah Rukh and Salman Khan might have buried the hatchet and moved on with life and career, but their fan bases are in no mood to do so. While the actors hold no malice against one another, their admirers put them at loggerheads.
This year has an interesting line-up of releases. Maneesh Sharma's "Fan" and Kabir Khan's "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" are two such most-awaited films of 2015. Social media users might be rooting for both equally, but according to a Bollywood Life poll result, the SRK starrer pipped 'Kick' star's film to win the 'Most Awaited Film of 2015' title.
"Fan" received 28 % of the votes, whereas "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" lagged behind with 27 %. Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh's "Bajirao Mastani" stood third with only 17%. "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo", "Dil Dhadakne Do", and "Piku" managed 13%, 8% and 7% of the votes respectively.
In other news, SRK's "Fan", which was slated for release on 14 August, has now been rescheduled for a later date. Announcing the news, Yash Raj Films wrote on Twitter, "YRF's #FAN release being delayed to complete never-seen-before VFX. New date coming soon."
This piece of intel was further confirmed by producer-filmmaker Karan Johar who tweeted informing that his home production "Brothers", starring Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra", will now see an I-Day weekend release.
Meanwhile, Salman has been running on a considerably tight schedule. "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" is, as per reports, 70% complete, but Sooraj Barjatya's "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" has a chunk to finish off.
While the Maneesh Sharma directorial follows the story of a fan and his love for a superstar, Kabir Khan's film chronicles a Muslim boy's life and his love for a Brahmin girl.
