Shah Rukh Khan's first movie of this year, "Fan," will hit the screens April 15, but the actor revealed shooting for "Fan" has been completed even before "Dilwale" and "Raees." SRK said the film was delayed due to technical issues as well as over his knee injury.
"I did 'Fan' way before I did 'Raees' and 'Dilwale,' but due to VFX and knee injuries it got delayed," ANI quoted Shah Rukh as saying. He also said director Maneesh Sharma had the story of "Fan" in his mind for the last 10 years.
Earlier, there were reports that "Fan" would release Dec. 19, 2014, but was later shifted to Jan. 23, 2015 due to Shah Rukh's knee injury. Shah Rukh was last seen in the movie "Dilwale" starring Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon. There was a lot of hype around the Rohit Shetty directorial, but it did not perform at the box office as per expectation.
Now, Shah Rukh has two highly anticipated releases this year — "Fan" and then "Raees." Produced by Yash Raj Films, "Fan" presents the actor in double roles — a superstar and his fan. It is a movie about a fan who becomes dangerously obsessed with a superstar, who looks quite like him.
On the other side, "Raees" will present Shah Rukh in a completely different avatar: a robust character with some negative shades. Directed by Rahul Dholakia, "Raees" also features Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Mahira Khan.
