Shah Rukh Khan's "Fan" is one of the most-awaited films of the year, and with the release date drawing near, some interesting details have surfaced.
The Maneesh Sharma directorial is not going to be another fan-meets-superstar story. Instead, Aryan Khanna and Gaurav will be locking horns in the film, reported DNA.
"Fan is not just about the love of the fan for his favourite superstar. In the film, eventually Gaurav and Aryan are pitted against each other and it's the superstar who plays the nemesis to the fan," the daily quoted a source as saying.
Namrata Rao, editor of "Fan", said she found it difficult to choose between the two in an action sequence which is to take place towards the end of the film. "Shah Rukh has balanced both roles very nicely. It's difficult to play both sides of the spectrum but in Fan, he's understood the psychology of both the characters really well," she further elaborated.
SRK, on the other hand, revealed how Aryan's look is yet to be revealed and once done, the difference between him and Gaurav will be evident. "What I do in Fan is what the film is about. Gaurav is 25 years old in the film and it's not because I want to play or look like a 25-year-old in my film. It's a story about a 25-year-old fan and a 45-year-old superstar," SRK told DNA.
Slated for a 15 April release, the film is VFX rich which is why the dates had to be re-scheduled. The team (of roughly 250 people) has promised never-seen-before kind of magic with special effects.
