With a national award for one of the most appreciated films of 2015 – "Bajirao Mastani" – director Sanjay Leela Bhansali is hot property and everyone wants a piece of him. According to a Mid-Day report, Shah Rukh Khan and Ranveer Singh are teaming up for the filmmaker's next.
Sanjay and Shah Rukh's frequent interactions over the last month have sparked rumours that they are coming together for a film. "SRK has been eager to work with Bhansali and even requested him to direct a film which could be co-produced by them," a source told the Mumbai Mirror last month.
It will be interesting to watch Shah Rukh and Ranveer together on the big screen as they have great energies and share a great rapport. They have often been spotted partying and bonding at social events and award shows.
Interestingly, a few days ago, Sanjay apparently said he was working on two scripts simultaneously and cannot decide which one to begin first. Earlier this year there were reports of the ace filmmaker roping in Ranveer and Deepika for a love story set in Europe. Apparently, it will be different from his other films and a modern-day love story.
Meanwhile, the director's spokesperson shot down the buzz saying the script is being worked upon and the cast is yet to be decided. "It is irresponsible to be throwing names of big superstars at this juncture as nothing has been locked so far. The casting is still in process. Sanjay Leela Bhansali will make an announcement when he is ready," he told Catch News.
While Sanjay finishes work on his scripts, SRK is gearing up for two of his releases — "Raees" and "Fan." Ranveer Singh, who has only signed Aditya Chopra's "Befikre" this year, is flying off to Paris for a four-month-long schedule later this month.
