This year's box office fight is between Shahrukh Khan's "Chennai Express" and Akshay Kumar's "Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Again". Both films are releasing this year on the same day i.e. on Eid in August.
Salman Khan generally releases his films during the Eid slot, but this year it's going to be a tough fight between Shah Rukh and Akshay.
Shah Rukh is leaving no stone unturned to promote his romantic comedy "Chennai Express", while the "Khiladi" star feels positive about the big day.
Akshay feels that the festival is quite big enough for the film to earn well at the box office.
"I see this in a positive way. Eid is a big day. It is big enough for two films. There is no point in thinking too much over it," Akshay said at the first look event of the film, according to IANS.
The first look of "Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Again" was launched on Wednesday and the actor was accompanied by Imran Khan, Sonakshi Sinha and director Milan Luthria at the event.
The film is a sequel to 2010 film "Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai" and Akshay will play Don, the lead character played by Emraan Hashmi in the prequel.
"I am just playing my role. I haven't thought of it as a benchmark. I just listened to my director. I never thought that I had to cross any benchmark," he said.
"OUATIMA' is Akshay's second film this year after superhit film "Special 26". Earlier, IBTimes reported that the SRK and Shetty have an advantage over Akki this year at the box office. [Read the Full Report here].
