Shah Rukh Khan's next few films are with directors he hasn't worked with before. This makes the news of the superstar working with Anurag Kashyap not so much a surprise.
However, the "Udta Punjab" director says their talks from 2014 have stayed there and nothing has materialised yet. "Shah Rukh Khan and I keep discussing many ideas but nothing has materialised as yet. The talks of 2014 have stayed in 2014," Catch News quoted the filmmaker as saying.
Two years ago, Anurag said that he had an idea in mind for SRK, but will approach the actor with a script only when he is fully ready. What many do not know is that the superstar is Anurag's senior from college (Hansraj College, Delhi University).
"When I didn't have money, he would call me at his home and Gauri used to feed me. My relationship with Shah Rukh (Khan) is on different level. We have never asked anything from each other," he had told the Press Trust of India.
About five years ago, SRK had said Anurag had a "commercial" film for him. However, he never spoke about the project ever since.
In other news, here are the films Shah Rukh is working on in the next few years. He has Aanand L Rai and Imtiaz Ali's untitled projects, in which he plays a dwarf and a guide, respectively. After he has wrapped up these two, he will take Aditya Chopra's ambitious period film where he gets to essay the role of a warrior prince.
The films he has wrapped up so far are "Raees" and Gauri Shinde's "Dear Zindagi" (rumoured title).
