Shah Rukh Khan's forthcoming movie "Raees" will feature stunt director Ravi Varma, who is from Sandalwood. Varma has worked with King Khan in "Happy New Year".
He is currently basking in the success of his recent Kannada movie "Rana Vikrama", starring Puneet Rajkumar. His stunt choreography has been met with huge appreciation from various quarters; the climax received the maximum appreciation from the mass audience. Several portions of the movie had been shot in Hollywood style.
Apart from directing action sequences, Varma has appeared in the role of one of the villains in "Rana Vikrama", and his performance has also been praised by fans.
According to his latest announcement, he is set to take his acting career to the next level as he will be working in Shah Rukh Khan's Bollywood movie "Raees".
Varma said it is a guest role and he cannot reveal further details about his character. He points out that it is an important role, but a negative one.
"I have a guest appearance in this film too, and I cannot say anything else because of my agreement with the makers. I was preparing for the fight sequences with director Rahul Dholakia of Raees, when he asked me whether I would be interested in playing a small negative role in the film. I was immediately willing and my role was fixed over a casual conversation on the spot," Ravi Varma said, the Indian Express reports.
The most sought after stunt director of Sandalwood is excited to be part of Shah Rukh Khan's movie and says that he is open to act in small roles. It may be recalled that he had earlier directed some action sequences in Shah Rukh Khan's "Happy New Year".
