Filmmaker Aanand L Rai celebrated his birthday on June 28 with many Bollywood stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Sidharth Malhotra, Kangana Ranaut, Rajkummar Rao and Huma Qureshi. The "Tanu Weds Manu" director will soon bring an interesting story on the silver screen that stars Shah Rukh.
SRK and Aanand have collaborated for a film, in which the superstar will play a dwarf. Speculations were rife that Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif will star in the two-heroine movie. Earlier, it had been reported that Katrina was roped in for Aanand L Rai's next and the makers were trying to get Alia or Sonam Kapoor on board to play the other female lead. However, the report suggested that both the heroines might not sign the film.
"Sonam is in the best phase of her career and she might not want to do a two-heroine film right now. As for Alia, her film with SRK will hit screens soon. It's highly improbable for them to come together once again in such a short span," a source had told DNA.
The filmmaker Aanand has earlier won hearts with his hit movies with Kangana – "Tanu Weds Manu" and "Tanu Weds Manu Returns." The actress even went ahead to win the National Award after her brilliant performance in the sequel of the romantic-comedy drama.
As the director shares a good rapport with these big stars, thus, they attended Aanand's birthday bash despite Mumbai rains. SRK appeared in his formal avatar, while Sidharth was in casual wears. Huma and Kangana too looked gorgeous in their outfits.
