The Badshah of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan, who is usually seen in a romantic avatar, claimed that he performs action roles better compared to romantic ones.
Speaking at the trailer launch of his upcoming action comedy "Chennai Express", in which he will be seen performing some high voltage action stunts, Shah Rukh said, "I think I can do action a lot better than romance," Press Trust of India reported.
Directed by Rohit Shetty "Chennai Express" reunites Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan on screen after Farah Khan's "Om Shanti Om". Praising Rohit and his entire team work Shah Rukh said, "He (Rohit) has a fantastic team of almost 200 people, who all have worked really hard,"
"Rohit is a fantastic director. The story that Rohit narrates initially turns out far more better on celluloid. His work speaks volumes. I had done a lot of intense roles and really wanted to do an action comedy and I feel 'Chennai Express' was the perfect film," Shah Rukh added.
"Chennai Express" is one of the most hyped films produced by Shah Rukh's wife Gauri. The film is set to hit the screens on 8 August.
During the shoot of an action sequence of "Chennai Express", Shah Rukh had injured his shoulder. The actor went under the knife on 28 May and is still recuperating from the surgery.
When questioned on how he felt working with Rohit, who is criticised for 'over the top action' content in his films, Shah Rukh said, "Earlier I used to think the same but not now. I loved working with him."
In a recent interview Deepika also spoke at length about Rohit saying, "It was lot of fun working on the film. It was a great experience. Rohit is known for making comedy films and this film as well has turned out to be very entertaining. It is very different from what he has done. I am quite excited about its release."
