Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan made it to the Forbes' list of world's highest paid celebrities on Monday. They have earned a place among 100 celebrities from all over the world.
Shah Rukh is the top-ranked Indian, at 65th position. The 51-year-old actor earned $38 million (approximately Rs 245 crore) last year. While Salman Khan bagged the 71st rank with earnings of $37 million, Akshay Kumar has been ranked at No. 80 with $35.5 million.
The ranking is based on how much a celebrity earns through his films and endorsements. SRK is the face of many endorsements, and scores over Akshay and Salman.
However, the Mujhse Shaadi Karogi actors' movies did far better than Shah Rukh's last year.
SRK's Fan and Dear Zindagi were liked by many, but couldn't earn much at the box office. On the other hand, Salman's Sultan and Akshay's Airlift, Rustom and Housefull 3 did tremendous business in the market.
This year, SRK appeared in Raees, and Akshay in Jolly LLB 2. Salman's movie Tubelight will be released on Eid.
It is a proud moment for fans that these three Bollywood celebrities have made to Forbes' 100 World's highest paid celebrities' list.
