Ileana D'Cruz, who made a mark in Bollywood with debut film "Barfi!", will reportedly be seen romancing superstar Shah Rukh Khan in "Fan".
Though several actresses' names came up for the lead role in Yash Raj production film "Fan", looks like the suspense over the lead actress for the film is finally over.
Buzz is that the "Main Tera Hero" actress has bagged the project opposite King Khan, Bollywood Hungama reported.
If reports are to be believed then next year, the audience will get to see a new on-screen jodi. For the first time Khan will be paired opposite D'Cruz in a film.
"A few days ago, Ileana had a meeting with Aditya Chopra. She was there at YRF studio. The details of the film are not known yet... but she has been in talks with YRF," a source told Deccan Chronicle.
While, the leading daily reported that D'Cruz has been finalised for the lead actress, the production house is yet to make an official announcement.
Previously, actresses' names including Vaani Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra had emerged online. Kapoor also confirmed that she has been roped in for YRF's film, but she didn't reveal any more details about the film.
But Chopra, on the other hand, denied the reports of her being cast in "Fan". "No, I am not in Fan. There is not even an iota of truth to the rumours making the rounds," Chopra said, according to Bollywood Hungama.
Meanwhile, Khan will start the shooting of "Fan" in October, after wrapping up his upcoming film "Happy New Year". The film was supposed to go on floors early next year, but SRK decided to finish "Fan" first and work on Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's film "Raees".
In Maneesh Sharma's directorial film, SRK will be seen playing the role of a fan.
"Most of the characters I do are the ones I create... for the first time, I am going to play what has created me... I will be in my next a "FAN"," the actor tweeted about his role.
