This is for the first time Shah Rukh has planned road shows to promote his film in international market. The actor, who is known for his unique marketing style, is likely to earn around 200 crore from the shows.
The whole "Happy New Year" team including director Farah Khan and lead actors Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani and Vivaan Shah will be travelling to different countries to promote the film.
The whole cast and crew have taken two months' time from their busy schedule to promote the film.
"The cast agreed to the arrangement as SRK will pay them over and above their acting fee. Around 140 professional dancers will also be hired. It's an ambitious venture which aims to be even bigger than the Temptations Reloaded concert tour," a source close to the production house told Mumbai Mirror.
SRK is planning to do around 25-30 shows worldwide before the release of the film and he is expected to fetch in approximately ₹ 7 crore from each shows.
"There will be around 25-30 shows and each is expected to fetch SRK ₹ 7 crore. Going by this calculation, they could add almost ₹ 200 crore to the kitty even before the film opens in the theatres," the source added.
