If the latest reports are believed to be true, then Shah Rukh Khan might work in a remake of Pawan Kalyan's film.
Apparently, the actor has been approached to reprise the role of Kalyan in the remake of the blockbuster Telugu film "Attarintiki Daredi".
The makers of the film are apparently in talks with the Bollywood King Khan and the project is almost finalised, Indiaglitz reported.
"Attarintiki Daredi" is a family entertainer, featuring Kalyan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead. The film was released last year in September, which created records at the box office.
It was one of the highest grosser Telugu films of 2013. The film also received positive responses from critics as well as the audience.
The Telugu film's storyline is quite similar to Shah Rukh's "Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham" (K3G), which had Kajol in the female lead role.
But there has been no confirmation on the rumoured project from the actor's side or the production company.
Remakes of South Indian films have proved to be successful for Bollywood filmmakers. Interestingly, the remake films work well for filmmakers and actors at the box office.
Actors, including Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn and several others have worked in the south Indian remake films.
Aamir's "Ghajini" was the remake of Suriya's Tamil hit film with the same name and it went on to become one of the biggest hits of Indian cinema. Salman's blockbuster hit movies, including "Kick", "Wanted", "Ready", "Bodyguard" and "Jai Ho" were also remakes of south films.
So does Kumar's "Rowdy Rathore" and "Holiday – A Soldier Is Never Off Duty" and Devgn's "Singham Returns" and "Singham".
But this will be Shah Rukh's first south remake film, if he agrees to do so.
