Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, who will be seen in some action-packed scenes in his upcoming film "Chennai Express', said he prefers doing stunts without the help of a double body.
Referring to his action stunts in "Chennai Express" Shah Rukh said, "I like doing my stunts... I feel I haven't worked if I haven't been doing my stunts. I am very good in jumps and somersaults. I can do a lot of stunts," IANS reported.
Shah Rukh went on to add that he does not want to lie to his children about the stunts that he would perform on screen. "I like doing my stunts... I feel I haven't worked if I haven't been doing my stunts. I am very good in jumps and somersaults. I can do a lot of stunts," he said.
Shah Rukh, who will play a 40-year-old man in the film, said stuntmen are never prevented from exhibiting their talent and skill when actors perform the stunts themselves.
"They are the ones who make it happen... they are the ones who teach us... they have the most important jobs when it comes to action," Shah Rukh said while promoting "Chennai Express".
"They tell us what to do. Some of the times they tell me, 'Shah Rukh bhai, you don't do this one.' Sometimes it's a choice... can I do it as gracefully as the other person? So, they assist me... if it's safe, then they let me do it. Because heroes do their own stunts, that doesn't mean we are taking the job away from stunt doubles and actions," he added.
Directed by Rohit Shetty who is known for including over-the-top action scenes in his films, "Chennai Express" starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone will hit screens on 9 August. The much-hyped film is SRK's first release of the year. The industry is abuzz with rumours that the film will break the box office collection of Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif starrer "Ek Tha Tiger".
