Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan are set to share screen space in "Sultan." Reports suggest the "Fan" actor will feature in a cameo in the action-drama.
Last month, when SRK had dropped by the sets of "Sultan," Salman and his crew were filming for a song. The camera rolled while the two stars caught up; it was being thought the footage will be used for the making, an insider informed DNA.
"Later, the team decided to incorporate those bits in the film. There's a scene in Sultan, which requires a celebrity to meet Salman. The team came up with the idea to include SRK's footage for that scene," the source further elaborated.
However, the details of the special appearance are being kept under wraps as the makers are yet to seek SRK's permission. "As they haven't asked for SRK's permission as yet, everything is kept hush-hush, but discussions are on to incorporate this footage into the film," the source explained.
While Shah Rukh's short act in "Sultan" is yet to be decided on, appearances by directors Kabir Khan and Vijay Krishna Acharya are on the cards. "From being a poor wrestler, Salman becomes a celebrity in his own right and it is then that these two directors direct him in commercials," the daily quoted an insider as saying.
"Sultan" has an interesting premise and is something Salman has never experimented with before. He underwent extensive mixed martial arts training and practised crucial wrestling moves with professionals for his role as Sultan Ali Khan, a Haryana-based wrestler.
Scheduled for an Eid release, the film's teaser is out and it's looking good. The 1:25-second-long clip focuses on the langot-clad Sultan as he prepares to enter a wrestling ring.
