Shah Rukh Khan will be seen playing a cameo in "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" and the latest buzz suggests that the actor will portray the character of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's on-screen husband in the movie.
Director Karan Johar earlier confirmed that SRK will have a special appearance in the film but his role was not revealed. Now, rumours say that Shah Rukh and Aishwarya will be seen as a married couple in "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil," according to Catch News.
Shah Rukh and Aishwarya shared screen space earlier in films like "Josh," "Devdas," "Mohabbatein" and "Shakti: The Power". The duo's chemistry has always been liked and if the rumours of SRK playing Aishwarya's husband in "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" are true, it will be a delight for fans.
Karan had confirmed Shah Rukh's role in the upcoming movie saying: "Shah Rukh and I have an amazing working rapport. I haven't directed a film with him in the last seven years, but he did a scene for me recently in a film that is going to release in Diwali and after seven years when I directed him, I realised nothing had changed. He knew exactly what I was expecting of him and I knew exactly what he was going to do."
There were also reports that Saif Ali Khan was the first choice to play the cameo but Shah Rukh was later roped in after the former suffered an injury. "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" is a romantic drama starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Fawad Khan, apart from Aishwarya.
The film is slated to be released on Oct. 28 this year and will have a box office clash with Ajay Devgn's "Shivaay."
