Shah Rukh Khan is among the few actors in the film industry who loves to surprise co-stars and their directors. Earlier this year, the actor surprised his "Chennai Express" director Rohit Shetty by arranging a special birthday party and gifting him an ED Hardy bike. And this time, he surprised his co-star Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Leela Bhansali on the set of "Ram Leela".
The actor apparently made a surprise visit to the sets of Bhansali's directorial film, "Ram Leela" which features her "Chennai Express" co-actor Deepika. According to The Times of India, Shah Rukh visited the sets to discuss the dates with Deepika Padukone.
As reported in April, Deepika's dates were blocked by Sanjay Leela Bhansali for "Ram Leela" from mid-April and "Chennai Express" was running 15-20 days behind the schedule.
"From mid-April onwards her dates have been blocked by Sanjay LeelaBhansali for Ram Leela. The makers tried getting the dates rescheduled, but it wasn't possible, which is why no one has any time to waste," a source told Hindustan Times.
It's reported that Shah Rukh had to work over time because of Deepika's tight schedule. The actor came to discuss the dates of the common heroine but ended up praising Bhansali for making a fabulous set.
SRK was impressed with the ostentatious sets put up by Bhansali, who also directed "Devdas", according to TOI. He also asked the director whether he was trying to outshine the iconic sheesh mahal set of "Devdas".
The filmmaker loved the compliment, but he asked him not to discuss about the "Ram Leela" sets with others.
