Contrary to recent reports, Shah Rukh Khan will not endorse Apple products in India. A source with knowledge of the development confirmed to International Business Times, India, that the "Raees" actor has not been roped in as the brand ambassador of Apple India.
"It's totally false. This must have come from someone's imagination," the source told IBTimes India.
Speculations were rife that King Khan would be appointed as the brand ambassador of Apple India, and an official announcement would be made later this year at the time of the launch of the next-generation iPhones, PC Tablet had reported, quoting a source. The report further said Apple might collaborate with Shah Rukh's Red Chillies Entertainment and other production houses in India for Apple Music and Apple TV.
Collaborating with Shah Rukh to promote the brand in India can be a good idea, considering the huge fan following of the actor, but sources said there is no truth in the reports and Apple is not roping in the actor.
In other news, Apple's CEO Tim Cook was in India last month to discuss the company's growth in the country. On his maiden trip to India, the head honcho attended a Bollywood party hosted by none other than Bollywood's King Khan, SRK.
The big bash was attended by several celebrities, including Adi and Parmeshwar Godrej, Akash Ambani, Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Madhuri Dixit Nene with husband Sriram Madhav Nene, Sania Mirza, Farah Khan, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Anupama Chopra, Rajkumar Hirani, Mahesh Bhatt, Isha M Ambani, AR Rahman, former Indian cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin and Pritam.
