The trailer of Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol starrer "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" (DDLJ) has recreated the same magic it did two decades ago.
SRK-Kajol starrer is the longest running Indian film ever. "DDLJ" was released on 20 October 1995 and since then has been running in Mumbai's Maratha Mandir.
The epic romance saga, directed by Aditya Chopra, will complete 1000 weeks of its run at Maratha Mandir on 12 December and to celebrate the occasion, makers have released a new trailer of the film.
Yash Raj Films released the new official trailer of the romantic film on 24 November. And even now, the romantic film has managed to create the same euphoria with its trailer crossing the 1.4 million mark on YouTube. The trailer has been going viral on Facebook and Twitter.
The makers have also planned something extensive to promote the film once again before the D-day.
The lead actor of the film Shah Rukh said in some interviews that the whole "DDLJ" team is planning to watch the film in Maratha Mandir.
"Few days ago, I had a talk with Kajol. There will be some interviews where we will talk about the film. Also there was 15-20 minutes footage from the film which was edited- that would be shown to everyone," DNA quoted SRK as saying.
"I haven't met Adi for sometime but we are planning to watch the film at Maratha Mandir when DDLJ completes 1000 weeks. Not only for me, Kajol, Adi or for a particular generation, but this film defines an era," he added.
Apart from being the longest running film in India, "DDLJ" is one of the most successful Bollywood films."DDLJ" is Shah Rukh and Kajol's first 100 crore grossing film.
"DDLJ" is Aditya's debut film as a director and for that he won Filmfare Best Director award.
The film also features Anupam Kher, Farida Jalal, Amrish Puri, Pooja Ruparel, Satish Shah, Parmeet Sethi and Mandira Bedi in key roles.
