Shah Rukh Khan and Imtiaz Ali's untitled project, which is yet to be officially announced, may be shot in Budapest. Sources say the director will set out on a recce on May 25.
"Imtiaz will start the recce on May 25. He will be travelling to Budapest and a few other cities. He is planning to begin the shoot of the film with SRK, in July, this year," an insider told Hindustan Times (April 25, Mumbai). Anushka Sharma has apparently been signed to star opposite the superstar.
This isn't the only exciting news about the project. In March, there were reports that the film will be an out-n-out comedy, a fresh departure from the intense ones Imtiaz has made so far.
SRK will apparently play a turbaned tourist in the U.K. and the focus will be on his many misadventures. "His innocent interactions with the Britishers and his adventurous return to India form the premise of the film," Mumbai Mirror quoted a source as saying.
Meanwhile, SRK and Imtiaz have been denying the news of them coming together for a film. While the master director has, on many occasions, said he would love to work with the 50-year-old actor, SRK said they discuss scripts often.
"We both feel that one day we will come together for a film, and if that happens, it will be very nice. I would love to work with Imtiaz," Shah Rukh told Pinkvilla.
In other news, SRK has Aanand L Rai's project this year, in which he will be seen essaying the role of a "little" person.
"Mine is an ordinary character in extraordinary circumstances. It goes beyond India at one point but the seed is in Meerut. My films are more about the people than the place. So you will get to listen khadi boli and feel the temperament of the place...a dwarf with an attitude," the Hindu quoted Aanand as saying.
