In the UK market, "Chennai Express" had the highest opening for any Hindi film. It did well in the US-Canada market too but UAE-GCC collections are humongous.

Speaking at a press conference held at the compound of his Bandra bungalow Mannat on Friday, King Khan told reporters, "I can't stop smiling. Till the time I don't stop smiling, the excitement won't settle down."
"It is nice that the film is doing well. I want to wait for three to four days. I am happy that people have liked the film and it has opened well," said SRK, who was accompanied by his director Rohit Shetty.
"Chennai Express" was released on the auspicious day of of Eid-ul-Fitr on Friday in more than 4,000 screens worldwide. The film received mixed reviews from critics but the SRK starrer got an overwhelming response from the audience.
The action entertainer, which has shattered all previous records at the box office, is expected to fare even better on Saturday (10 August) and Sunday (11 August). It won't be surprising if the film crosses 100-crore mark at the domestic box office in its opening weekend.
