Rumours are rife that Shah Rukh Khan will play the lead role in Aanand L Rai's upcoming movie, but the superstar's tiff with Eros International has apparently forced the filmmaker to choose between the superstar and the distribution company. According to Spotboye, Rai chose SRK over Eros International.
After the success of "Tanu Weds Manu Returns", Aanand L Rai's next film will be based on a dwarf and Eros International was supposed to produce the project. Moreover, Ranveer Singh, who is supposedly the current favourite of Eros after the brilliant box office business of "Bajirao Mastani", was rumoured to be playing the lead role of the dwarf.
However, Aanand L Rai chose Shah Rukh over Ranveer and that apparently did not go down well with Eros International.
Eros and SRK's relations turned sour ever since "Dilwale" and "Bajirao Mastani" clashed at the box office. Earlier, it was reported that Eros had sued some of the single screen theatres for running "Dilwale" along with "Bajirao Mastani", causing an alleged breach in the agreement. However, the court's verdict went in favour of the SRK starrer and the single screen owners, which apparently affected the business of the Ranveer starrer.
Now, the latest buzz says that Aanand L Rai has decided to make his next film without Eros as the latter is not willing to collaborate with Shah Rukh. With the ouster of Eros International, the upcoming untitled movie will be produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, the report added. However, no official confirmation on the cast of Aanand L Rai's next film has been reported yet.
