On Sunday, during the finale of the singing reality show "India's Raw Star" in Mumbai Film City, Goregaon (East), host Gauahar Khan was allegedly slapped by 24-year-old Akil Malik. The accused attacked the "Big Boss 7" winner for wearing a short dress during the show.
However, there are a few other Bollywood celebs, who have been similarly attacked by their fans.
Shah Rukh Khan
Shah Rukh Khan was attacked by Shiv Sena members in 2010, after he reportedly agreed to perform for a Pakistani channel on the second anniversary of Mumbai terror attacks. However, Shah Rukh's office slammed the rumours and said that he was in Berlin working on "Don 2".
Deepika Padukone
During an event in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, a group had planned to welcome "Chennai Express" actress with eggs and tomatoes. The group was protesting against the content of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus "Ram-leela", which also had Ranveer Singh in the lead. However, the actress, who came to promote the romantic drama film, was not attacked by the protesters after the filmmaker agreed to erase the unpleasant scenes from the film.
Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan
The father-son duo suffered minor injuries after they visited ailing Bal Thackeray at his residence in Bandra. Thackeray supporters, who were waiting to hear updates on their leader's health allegedly, attacked the Bachchans'.
Hrithik Roshan
At the "Bang Bang" special screening in Juhu, Mumbai, the "Krissh 3" actor was attacked by a crazy fan, who grabbed the actor's neck. However, Hrithik was seen maintaining his calm.
Shruti Haasan
Last year, an intruder tried to attack the "Luck" actress, and grabbed her throat and tried to enter her house; however, she slammed the door on him.
Bipasha Basu
A fan tried to pull the "Race" actress skirt during the promotions of "Raaz 3" (2002) in Ahmedabad and following this, Bipasha's right hand was reportedly hurt.
John Abraham
During John's maiden visit to Mangalore in 2012 for the inauguration of a jewellery outlet, he was bitten by a crazy Mangalorean girl. Following this, he reportedly kept his hand in his pocket and didn't shake hands with anyone.
Shahid Kapoor and Irrfan Khan
The actors were attacked with a fire pot (kangri) by a youth during the shooting of "Haider" in Kashmir. However, reports suggest that the police interfered and the shooting was resumed.
