Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and filmmaker Farah Khan are gearing up for the shooting of their next venture titled "Happy New Year".
Shah Rukh and Farah are uniting together for the film after a gap of six years post the release of 2007 superhit flick "Om Shanti Om".
Announcing that the she has finished the costume trial with SRK, Farah Khan tweeted, "Just finished costume trials with @iamsrk ..wah sir,kya look invent hua hain..."
"N then a very late nite recording with @VishalDadlani ..wah kya gaana banaya hain aapne...," she added.
Apart from Shah Rukh, the "Main Hoon Na" director has also roped in Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani and Vivaan Shah to play lead roles in "Happy New Year". Rumour has it that Deepika Padukone will play the female lead in the film.
Shah Rukh's wife Gauri Khan and Farah will co-produce the film. Although no official confirmation has been made, it is rumoured that Shah Rukh has locked next year's Diwali slot for the release of "Happy New Year". The film is expected to go on floors on 2 September.
According to reports, Farah's husband Shirish Kunder, who has edited three of her film including "Main Hoon Na", "Om Shanti Om" and "Tees Maar Khan", will not be a part of "Happy New Year". She has roped in Shan Mohammed of "Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na" and "Wake Up Sid" fame to edit the film.
"Shah Rukh has let bygones be bygones vis-a-vis his issues with Farah and Shirish. However, things are still awkward between SRK and Shirish. To avoid any further unpleasantness, they decided to get Shan on board. As for Shirish, he's said to be scripting his next venture," a source told Times of India.
