Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone have revived the most memorable moment of one of the biggest hits of Indian Cinema - "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" (DDLJ), in the upcoming action comedy "Chennai Express".
While Shah Rukh had relived the moment once again, it was Deepika who was more excited to do the scene in which she had to chase the train to reach SRK as Kajol did in the climax of "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge".
At the launch event of Vogue Eyewear's first ever Indian communication campaign, an excited Deepika told reporters, "I got to live the DDLJ moment with Shah Rukh," IANS reported.
Referring to the characters played by Shah Rukh in "DDLJ" (Raj) and "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai" (Rahul), Deepika added, "The fact that while growing up it is every girl's dream to romance Rahul and Raj on-screen, I got an opportunity to do that as well in the film."
Directed by Rohit Shetty "Chennai Express" is one of the most hyped film of the year. Scheduled to hit the screens on 8 August, the film features Shah Rukh playing the role of a 40-year-old man and Deepika portraying a south Indian girl.
After a long time, Shah Rukh will reprise a hard core action avatar in "Chennai Express" which is produced by his wife Gauri Khan.
Deepika, who is also the brand ambassador of Vogue Eyewear, said that she would pick up a optical frame for his "Chennai Express" co-star. "I would give him optical frames because I know he wears specs. He wears reading glasses. I will pick something for him...That's something I can gift him," said the 27-year-old actress.
